Location:

Bangkok is located on the western bank of Chao Phraya River and is the capital of Thailand. Bangkok used to be a small trading post and fishing town in the 15th century, now it has developed into a dynamic and exciting city in Southeast Asia becoming by far the most populous city in Thailand with over 11 million inhabitants. Yet, the traditional heritage of the Thai Buddhist temples and rich culture remain present.

With the country’s politics, economy, and culture all centered in Bangkok, it is easily influential in both the arts and entertainment creating waves of tourist and migrants both domestically and internationally. Visitors will not only find western cosmopolitan amenities and conveniences but also unique treasures intact with Thai culture and historical attractions.

Thailand is largely tropical and is characterized by monsoons. In the southern region where Bangkok is located there are only two seasons, rainy and dry. During the rainy season (April-October) occupants of the city can expect an average of rainfall of 8.5 during those months. The average temperature for the year is between 77 °F and 86 °F.

It confirms that you are officially enrolled in a full time course of study at Mahidol University for the dates listed. The CoE includes a special number assigned specifically to you. You will use this number when applying for your visa online. You should apply for your visa at least 30 days before the start of your program but no more than 90 days prior to departure.
