Overview

In a partnership with API (Academic Programs International), students can study at the Paris School of Business, a European elite Grand Ecole management school. Students within Endicott's School of Business will find courses in Accounting, Brand and Business Management, Marketing and International Business. Students will also enroll in one French language course, allowing them to learn or further improve upon the language to immerse themselves in the Parisien culture.

Location

Paris is well known as one of the most intellectual and intriguing cities in the world. The city maintains its status as the premier city in France and a leader in politics, art and fashion; every section of the city has its own unique charm and makes Paris a city like no other. For the history lover, the tour should begin in the heart of old Paris, the Ile de la Cité, which lies in the middle of the Seine River. Here one can explore the Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Paris, the Palais de Justice and a hidden jewel, Sainte Chapelle. For the art lover, the city holds countless museums, all boasting incredible collections. Some of the most popular include the Louvre (where the famous Mona Lisa painting resides), Musée d’Orsay, Musée Rodin and Centre Georges Pompidou. Tucked away in the city’s twenty arrondissements, or districts, are many more amazing sights and sounds waiting to be discovered. Be sure to enjoy some French cuisine and relax on the greens of Sacre Coeur.

Academics

Students will enroll in five (5) courses while at Paris School of Business, each worth three (3) U.S. credits, for a semester total of 15 credits. Students will elect one French course, appropriate to their language level, and four additional courses. The list of courses available can be found here.

Housing and Meals

In Paris, students have three different options for housing - home stay, studette (studio apartment), and dormitory - that are outlined below:

Homestay
Students who choose to do a homestay are provided with five breakfast meals and two dinner meals per week with the family, along with a grocery stipend card to offset the cost of meals. Host families serve as a unique introduction into French culture, and may be made up of a married couple with children, retirement-age couples, or a divorced or widowed woman with or without children. Most families live in apartments with 2-4 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living/dining area. In some cases there may be another API or international student in the same apartment. While most family placements offer a single room, some students share a double room.

Shared Apartments
Shared apartments are located throughout the city. Most house 4 students in 2 bedrooms, with a separate living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Meals are not provided but kitchen appliances are provided. When living in a public building, you are expected not to disturb your neighbors with loud noise or voices.  Damaging property in the residence is also prohibited and will result in possible expulsion from the accommodations and a monetary penalty for damages. Utilities will be included up to 50 euros per month.

Dormitory
Students in the dormitory generally live in single rooms. Some rooms may be equipped with a sink, though students share bathroom and kitchen facilities. Most of the other students in the dorms are American. Students who select the dorm option are responsible for their own meals, though they will receive a grocery stipend card to offset the cost of meals.

Housing Deposit
Once accepted, students must submit a $275 housing deposit directly to API through their online student portal. A portion of this deposit is retained for maintenance fees following the conclusion of the program, and students are eligible to receive the remainder as a refund barring any damages to their housing.

Student Life

During the program, students have the opportunity to broaden their classroom education through several organized excursions, which are included in the price of the program. Overnight lodging, breakfast, entrance fees and transportation to and from the excursion locations are included. Although excursions are subject to change depending on availability, weather and other factors, students are provided with an itinerary for their program excursions prior to departure.

Some of the activities and excursions include:
  • Visiting the region of Champagne (where the only authentic champagne is created)
  • A trip to Southern France to visit Aix-en-Provence
  • The palace of Versailles
  • Normandy and D-day beaches
And much more!

Student Visas

Application

We advise all students to review the timelines of their host country, and plan accordingly. Processing times can be found on the French Consulate website.

Cost
The current cost to obtain a French visa is $110. To ensure you are making the correct payment amount, and paying by the correct method (credit card, cash or money order), please visit the consulate website.
