International Internships
The Office of International Education assists students in completing their internships in another country. Students may do an individual internship directly related to their major or participate in a group service project while gaining valuable exposure to another culture and way of life.
There are four options for pursuing an internship abroad:
- Placement & housing arranged by the Office of International Education and the Internship & Career Center in Ireland or Spain (recommended)
- Placement & housing arranged through an Endicott College-approved third-party organization (program fees paid by Endicott College)
Currently, the following choices are available: - Placement arranged through a non-affiliated organization (program fees paid directly by the student)
- Placement arranged entirely by the student using family, friends, or own contacts
All students considering an internship abroad must:
- Meet with their Internship Faculty
- Meet with Brenda Campbell and the Study Abroad Advisor
- Apply through the Study Abroad website
- Submit a Distance Internship application and materials for approval.
Distance Internships being done abroad must be approved by the Internship Office, the appropriate Academic Dean, and the Dean of International Education. Students proposing international internships must meet all requirements outlined by the Office of International Education before an Internship Proposal will be approved; including destination country/travel safety clearance (as determined by US Department of State travel warnings), and vetting of the internship, the provider and site.
