The one thing I love most about Endicott College: I like that it is relatively easy to get to know people and take advantage of academic and extracurricular opportunities so long as you are friendly and open to investing in people, the community is small so it's easy to form personal relationships with your faculty and to recognize the staff around campus at the lodge or library etc.
Most interesting fact about me: My art is going to be published in a book later this year!
Admittedly, I am not extremely well traveled and I often wish I could be more in-tune with my family's Mediterranean roots, but the catalysts that determine the philosophies I view the world through have all been foreign influences. I grew up around a family of immigrants with very strong culturally-informed values/beliefs and the strongest friendships I have maintained from high school are all with international friends. I have found that it's easy to fall into the habit of small talk with people who come from backgrounds similar to mine because it's hard not to subconsciously assume I already know who they are. When I started to make my first international friends in high school it helped me understand that there is so much nuance to a person and that every difference can be a really fun thing to explore, this subsequently helped me connect better with friends that had been in my life long prior to those international friendships. The empathy and curiosity that stemmed from some of those multi-cultural discussions has undoubtedly allowed me to be better in the rest of my relationships. I would say that I'm a naturally curious person, I ask a lot of questions [😂] and I would like to think I'm pretty bubbly - the opportunity to be a GA is one that combines a lot if my interests and I think it would be an awesome experience to humble myself a little, grow the outlook I see the world through and meet people my age with really interesting stories!
